Accessibility statement

We want every reader to enjoy the Journal, however they browse.

We're committed to making the Zamala Journal usable by everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and continually improve the reading experience across devices and assistive technologies.

What we do

  • Readable typography with generous size, spacing, and contrast.
  • A dark reading theme, and full respect for your reduced motion system setting.
  • Keyboard-navigable controls, including the image lightbox.
  • Descriptive alt text on images and clear link labels.
  • Semantic, screen-reader-friendly structure on every page.

Tell us where we fall short
